I've spent more than twenty years backstage at some of the world's great stages, and in classrooms where the next generation of cultural leaders is taking shape.

My story starts in Bucharest, with music. I trained as a pianist and a musicologist, and while I was still a student I joined the "George Enescu" International Festival and Competition. For ten years I coordinated its international press office, putting one of Europe's most prestigious classical music festivals in front of the BBC, CNN, Euronews and Mezzo.

Rome came next. There I studied at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire, interned in the education department of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, and then built a career on ambitious projects: 101 young pianists side by side with Lang Lang Foundation, the production of Sarah Brightman's concert in Bucharest, the Italian tour of the Palestinian Youth Orchestra, and every January the Rome New Year's Day Parade, which fills the streets of the Eternal City with American and British musicians. Along the way I have worked with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, La Fenice, the Ravello Festival, BOZAR and Sadler's Wells, and I co-founded Connexion Festival, which builds bridges between cultures through the arts.

Teaching became the other half of my life. I lead the Master's in Arts & Culture Management at Rome Business School, coordinate the Postgraduate Certificate in Music Management at the National University of Music in Bucharest, and teach at Unicollege in Turin. I also chair doctoral dissertations at Edgewood University and Westcliff University in the United States. My students come from all over the world, and helping them turn a passion for art into a profession is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Through Solèart Management, and as a consultant for organisations from Colorado, Vancouver to Riyadh, I help cultural institutions grow, connect and think internationally. As an external expert for the Lazio Region, I evaluate the projects that shape the region's cultural life.

What drives me is a simple belief: culture is one of the most powerful ways we have to connect people across borders. I have carried that conviction onto conference stages in Berlin and Budapest, Doha and Cairo. It also guides my work as a mentor for GRAMMY U and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, and as co-editor of Global Arts Leadership in the Digital Age (Cambridge Scholars Publishing).

I hold a PhD from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, and I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at Westcliff University in California, USA. I’m a Fellow of Stiftung Mercator, European Music Council and Salzburg Global. Above all, I’m always curious about the next project that brings art and people together. Connexion Festival Rome is an annual event organized in Rome, powered by Rome Business School, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rome (Dipartimento Sport e Politiche Giovanili) and Palazzo delle Esposizioni, featuring an international exhibition with artists from more than 30 countries worldwide, as well as talks, workshops, live broadcasts, and prizes.

Connexion Festival aims to be one of the city’s major collaborative events between artists, public and private institutes, universities, cultural managers, and professionals based in Rome. A multi- dynamic community of people linked to create a vibrant international scene in one of the world’s most culturally prestigious centers. A yearly appointment to discuss delicate issues affecting the world of business, academia, politics, nature, and culture.

United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC)

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) was established in 2005, as the political initiative of Mr. Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General and co-sponsored by the Governments of Spain and Turkey. A High-Level Group of experts was formed by Mr. Annan to explore the roots of polarization between societies and cultures today, and to recommend a practical programme of action to address this issue. The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations High Representative and Secretariat are based and operating from New York. The Alliance maintains a global network of partners including states, international and regional organizations, civil society groups, foundations, and the private sector to improve cross-cultural relations between diverse nations and communities.
